Vintage Univox Mini-Korg K-2 1970s
Vintage Univox Mini-Korg K-2 1970s
Just in at The Guitar Store at Quimper Sound Records a vintage Univox Mini-Korg K-2, a classic analog synth from the 1970s, in great working order. This synth delivers rich, warm tones that only a vintage piece like this can produce. We've thoroughly tested it, and it performs excellently with ample volume. All knobs and switches are functional, allowing you to explore its unique sonic possibilities.
However, full disclosure is important: like any vintage piece of music equipment, especially analog synths, this Univox will require careful handling and inevitable maintenance to keep it in playable condition. That's just the nature of the game with classic gear like this.
One quirk to note is the effect switch toward the left. When disengaged, it noticeably drops the volume, though it still produces some fantastic tones. This could be by design, but I couldn't find definitive information to confirm whether this is a function or just a quirk of this particular unit.
Cosmetically, this Mini-Korg K-2 shows signs of its nearly 50-year lifespan. The wood casing has some chips and dings, and the chassis's finish has faded in places (as shown in the photos). Despite this wear, it retains a beautiful vintage aesthetic and looks great considering its age.
This is a wonderful piece for any collector or musician looking to add some authentic vintage character to their setup.
