All the Right Mojo
Offered here is a beautiful example of a 1954 Gibson ES-125, a true workhorse from Gibson’s golden era of hollowbody electrics. This one has been well cared for over the decades and remains in excellent playing shape, with the kind of warm, woody tone that has made these models a favorite for jazz, blues, and roots players.
Cosmetically, it shows honest wear consistent with its age, with scattered nicks and dings throughout — the most notable being on the top of the headstock (see photos). The tailpiece has been repaired and the tuners have been replaced, but otherwise this guitar is all original. The strap button is missing, any push in replacement will do. A couple of the replacement parts are included in the case should you wish to install them.
Features the classic Gibson single P-90 pickup, fully hollow maple body, mahogany neck, and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Includes the original chipboard case, which has survived remarkably well for its age.
A great piece for both the player and the collector who appreciates the feel, sound, and vibe of an authentic mid-’50s Gibson.
