Here’s a beautifully spec’d Martin Custom Shop 00-18 that blends classic pre-war inspired aesthetics with tasteful modern refinements and incredibly comfortable playability. Built with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this small-bodied Martin delivers the dry, articulate, and woody voice that has made the 18-style guitars legendary for generations.
The 00 body size gives this guitar a wonderfully balanced and intimate feel while still producing impressive volume and projection. Fingerpicked passages bloom with clarity while flatpicked lines retain warmth and punch. It’s an inspiring couch guitar, recording instrument, and songwriting companion all in one.
This Custom Shop example features scalloped 1/4" spruce bracing, a gloss body with satin neck finish, beautiful Old Style 18 appointments with paua inlays, and a pale moon ebony fingerboard and bridge that give the guitar a unique and elegant visual character. The modified low oval neck profile combined with the short 24.9" scale length makes for an effortless and comfortable playing experience up and down the neck. The previous owner added a strap button to the heel. Comes in Martin Case. Very clean instrument with a little scuff as pictured on the binding. Big big voice and a pleasure to play.
