Interestingly, the finish itself exhibits no obvious signs of a traditional refinish, aside from an old clear nitrocellulose overspray that appears to have been applied many years ago to preserve the instrument's appearance. The thumb rest is a replacement, and the CTS potentiometers date to 1964. Everything else appears to be original.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCondition is excellent for a 64-year-old instrument, with some honest wear visible on the body, neck, and headstock. All of the wear is entirely reasonable for an instrument of this age and reflects a bass that has clearly been played, appreciated, and well cared for throughout its life.
